In this workshop, we’ll cover enough of the basics to provide any realtor with the confidence to guide their clients toward a positive mortgage experience. We’ll cover the different types of mortgage loans, prequalification versus pre-approval, the mortgage application flow, closing the loan and title issues. In addition, you’ll get an overview of the underwriting process and indispensible information on regulatory compliance and fraud detection.

Appraisal Facts for Realtors is the newest addition to Mortgage U’s continuing education courses for real estate brokers and agents. This workshop examines the appraisal process from the realtor’s point of view with tips on how to make the appraisal process go more smoothly for you and your client. The course begins with a comparison of the realtor’s initial market analysis and the market analysis conducted for secondary market lenders. We’ll discuss how adjustments to the appraisal affect the mortgage loan file, government lending issues and other challenges relating to the appraisal process for mortgage loans. It is our goal to help you be more effective by providing you with a better understanding of the key appraisal issues that impact the buyer and seller from listing through closing.
